Making the Most of Your Experience

Making the Most of Your Experience at Mines and Technology

Speaking

Technical presentation – The most successful speaking slots are from those who provide technical presentations and case studies – no-one likes a sales pitch!

Bring your customer – One way to really engage with the audience is to bring your customer along. Your customer can have much more impact in selling your services than you and joint presentations and joint Q&A are very effective.

Prepare for Q&A – Have an industry colleague ask a question and be prepared for an array of questions the audience may answer. This way you can make the most of your time slot and the Q&A can be carried on afterwards at your stand.

Exhibiting

Be at your stand – Across all the breaks and arrive early for the early-morning networking session.

Sign up early – By signing up early you can take a look at our floorplan and choose the stand where you are most likely to get the biggest footfall and also see where your competitors are!

Demonstration – Bring along products to demonstrate your solution and provide the attendees with an experience.

Expo passes – All of our Mines and Technology exhibitions have exhibition passes available, so if you have any company or industry colleagues who want to be at your stand, bring them along.

1-2-1 Meeting Planner – Plan your meetings – Our event planner goes live 4 – 6 weeks before the event and here you will be able to find a list of all attendees and request meetings on-site – this is one of the most effective ways to reach out to new potential clients!

Roundtables and Panels

Sign up early – By signing up early you will have the opportunity to host a lunchtime roundtable and/or join a panel with no additional charge. Typically, these opportunities will be taken up a couple of months before the event at the latest.

Hosting a roundtable – this gives you the opportunity to host a lunchtime roundtable with 9 other attendees who have specifically signed up due to an interest in the topic area, the roundtable host or the company they represent. A great way to indirectly promote your company!

Moderating or Participating in a panel – this offers the chance to position yourself as a thought leader amongst your peers and gives your company greater visibility in a designated topic area, thus emphasising your expertise!

Whitepapers

Let us know – if you have any white papers that are relevant to your speaking slot or a theme in the main conference then let us know. Providing it is deemed suitable, we will happily add this to our event website for our download and include it in our marketing campaign!
